Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamicSenior Manager Business Development & Sales Operationsto lead our sales organization and drive revenue growth across domestic and export markets. This role will oversee bothoutside and inside sales teams, manage key customer relationships, and build new strategic accounts in the rotating machinery segment.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record inindustrial sales, particularly withinpumps, compressors, and material handling equipmentindustries, with strong existing relationships and the ability to translate technical products into commercial success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead and mentor a team of inside and outside sales professionals.
  • Establish performance goals, sales targets, and incentive programs to drive results.
  • Ensure seamless coordination between business development, operations, and customer service teams.
  • Business Development
  • Identify, pursue, and acquire new strategic OEM and MRO customers in target industries.
  • Develop partnerships and distribution channels to expand UTL's market footprint in India and abroad.
  • Conduct regular customer visits, presentations, and technical discussions to promote product capabilities.
  • Account Management
  • Maintain and grow existing key customer accounts through strong relationship management.
  • Negotiate annual contracts, price agreements, and supply terms.
  • Track customer satisfaction and ensure timely resolution of commercial or delivery issues.
  • Sales Operations & Strategy
  • Oversee quotation management, order processing, and coordination with production and logistics teams.
  • Analyze sales metrics, forecast demand, and monitor sales performance through CRM/ERP systems.
  • Support management in defining pricing strategy, product positioning, and market entry plans.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Collaborate with the engineering and production teams for new product developments and trials.
  • Work closely with marketing for trade shows, promotional campaigns, and digital outreach.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience:Minimum1015 yearsof experience in industrial or engineering product sales, with at least5 years in a leadership rolemanaging teams.
  • Proven exposure torotating equipment industries(pumps, compressors, material handling).
  • Establishedrelationships with OEMs, distributors, and end usersin relevant sectors.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to understand technical specifications.
  • Proficiency withCRM and ERP systemsfor sales tracking and reporting.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
