Job Description

Job opening for the Business Development Manager role in a growing NBFC at Mumbai.

Job Role: Business Development Manager - Supply Chain Finance

Location: Mumbai

Working Days: 5 Days

Work Mode: Work from Office

Key Responsibilities:

1. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management

  • Identify and onboard anchor corporates and their ecosystem (vendors and dealers) for SCF programs.
  • Develop a robust pipeline of prospects and convert them into clients.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients to increase wallet share and retention.

2. Product Structuring & Solutioning

  • Understand client supply chain cycles and structure appropriate SCF solutions such as:
  • Vendor Financing
  • Dealer Financing
  • Invoice Discounting
  • Dynamic Discounting
  • Coordinate with internal credit, legal, and operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding and implementation.

3. Market Intelligence & Strategy

  • Monitor competitor activities and identify market trends to enhance product offerings.
  • Provide feedback to the product and strategy teams for product innovation and customization.

4. Cross-functional Coordination

  • Work closely with credit, risk, legal, compliance, and operations for client onboarding and servicing.
  • Ensure adherence to internal processes and RBI regulations applicable to NBFCs.

5. Performance Monitoring

  • Achieve assigned sales and revenue targets.
  • Maintain and update CRM tools for tracking leads, conversions, and client interactions.

Key Requirements:

Education:

  • Graduate in Commerce/Finance/Economics.
  • MBA/PGDM in Finance/Marketing or related field preferred.

Experience:

  • 37 years of relevant experience in B2B sales or business development in NBFCs/Banks/Fintechs.
  • Proven experience in Supply Chain Finance or Working Capital solutions is a must.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of SCF products and market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and digital lending platforms.
