About The Opportunity

A leader operating in the renewable energy sector, focused on solar power development, EPC delivery and commercial & industrial rooftop solutions across India. We pursue turnkey solar projects, channel partnerships and longterm energy agreements that drive decarbonization and cost savings for corporate and institutional customers.

We are hiring an on-site Solar Business Development Manager to own territory growth, develop high-quality pipelines, close deals, and coordinate with technical and finance teams to deliver projects end-to-end.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute territory sales strategy to identify opportunities in C&I, rooftop, and utility-scale segments across India; build a robust pipeline of qualified leads.
  • Manage end-to-end sales cycle: prospecting, proposal development, commercial negotiation, PPA/lease structuring, and contract closure.
  • Lead tender response and bid management for EPC and O&M contracts; coordinate technical inputs, commercial pricing, and compliance documentation.
  • Engage and manage channel partners, EPC contractors, and key accounts to expand market reach and accelerate deal velocity.
  • Collaborate with engineering and finance teams to prepare project financial models, viability assessments, and bankable proposals that meet client requirements.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity tracking and forecasting in CRM; report progress against revenue targets and market insights to leadership.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Proven track record in solar PV sales and business development (C&I and/or utility-scale)
  • Experience negotiating Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) and commercial contracts
  • Strong experience in tender management and bid preparation for EPC/O&M projects
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce or equivalent) and pipeline management
  • Financial modelling skills related to LCOE, IRR and project economics
  • Advanced MS Excel for pricing, costing and proposal workbooks

Preferred

  • Familiarity with PVsyst or solar performance modelling tools
  • Experience working with project finance lenders and due-diligence processes
  • Understanding of Indian regulatory frameworks and state-level solar policies
