Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead sales

and business growth initiatives in the solar EPC domain. The ideal candidate will have deep

industry knowledge, strong networking with clients and proven experience in developing

commercial and industrial solar projects. The role involves identifying opportunities, driving

proposals, and closing deals while ensuring alignment with company strategy and

profitability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute business development strategies to expand the company's solar EPC footprint across industrial, commercial, and institutional sectors.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities, RFPs, and tenders for rooftop,ground-mounted, and hybrid solar projects.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.

Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends,pricing strategies, and policy updates.

Lead the proposal and bid preparation process, including project sizing, techno-commercial evaluation, and cost estimation.

Collaborate with the design, procurement, and project teams to ensure timely submission of technical and financial offers.

Drive negotiations and closure of contracts while ensuring commercial viability.

Maintain an updated sales pipeline, forecast, and periodic business performance reports.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree.

5+years of proven experience in Solar EPC sales / business development.

Strong understanding of solar project economics, EPC costing, and regulatory frameworks (MNRE, CEIG, DISCOM policies).

Established network of clients, developers, and consultants in the solar industry.

Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.

Ability to analyze client requirements and provide customized solar solutions.

Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and basic understanding of AutoCAD /PVsyst is an added advantage.

Self-motivated, target-oriented, and willing to travel extensively.

Preferred Attributes:

Experience in C&I rooftop and ground-mounted solar EPC business.

Exposure to solar financing models (CAPEX, RESCO, OPEX).

Strong commercial acumen and client-handling capabilities.

Proven record of revenue growth and key account management.
