Role Description The Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Delhi, OH, responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding Shiplystic's client base in the eCommerce and logistics sectors. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying and qualifying leads, conducting client meetings and product demos, and building strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers. The role involves understanding client logistics challenges, proposing tailored platform solutions, and negotiating commercial terms to close deals. The Business Development Manager will collaborate closely with product, operations, and marketing teams to support client onboarding, gather market feedback, and contribute to go-to-market strategies. The role also includes tracking sales performance, preparing reports and forecasts, and representing the company at industry events or partner meetings as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in business development, B2B sales, and client relationship management, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Experience in eCommerce, logistics, supply chain, or SaaS platforms, with the ability to understand and explain technology-enabled solutions.
- Competence in market research, pipeline management, and CRM tools to identify opportunities and manage the sales cycle effectively.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, including the ability to influence stakeholders and handle complex conversations.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret data, optimize proposals, and address client operational challenges.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Willingness to work on-site in Delhi, OH, and travel locally or regionally for client meetings as required.
