About the Role
We are seeking a driven and matureBusiness Development Managerto lead end-to-end property sourcing, acquisition, and partnerships. You will drive Shepherds.homes asset growth, working directly with property owners, real estate agents, and developers, while leveraging CRM-based lead generation, SaaS sales strategies, and strong relationship skills. This role owns the full revenue cyclefrom pipeline creation to successful property onboarding.
Responsibilities
- Identify, engage, and close acquisition deals for residential properties suitable for short-term rental.
- Build a robust lead pipeline via CRM, digital tools, local brokers, and direct property owner outreach.
- Qualify and nurture leads, conduct property appraisals, and negotiate terms for win-win deals.
- Develop partnerships with developers, aggregators, and real estate professionals to scale inventory.
- Collaborate with operations and analytics teams for seamless onboarding and revenue optimization.
- Maintain accurate pipeline, sales, and market reports for leadership.
- Represent Shepherds.homes at industry events to build visibility and trust.
- Actively monitor the real estate market for new growth or partnership opportunities.
Ideal Candidate
- 38+ years of experience in business development, property acquisition, or sales in real estate and/or hospitality.
- Demonstrated experience managing sales pipelines, using CRM tools, and executing SaaS-style sales processes.
- Strong track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets through structured deal-making.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical and strategic, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
- Experience in hospitality real estate/short-term rentals is highly valued.
