Job Description
Our client is a premier, globally connected fiduciary and business services platform dedicated to helping high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and corporate clients navigate complex wealth and corporate structures.
Headquartered in Singapore and supported by decades of established heritage across major international financial centres and offshore jurisdictions, the firm combines deep regional knowledge with worldwide reach. They are known for delivering high-touch, purpose-led solutions and exceptional service to a sophisticated international client base.
About the Role
We are currently seeking a commercially minded and highly connected Trust Business Development Manager on behalf of our client to lead revenue growth across their trust and fiduciary services division.
In this high-visibility role, the successful candidate will drive business origination from HNWIs, UHNWIs, and family offices, expand strategic intermediary networks, and capitalize on cross-sell opportunities. The role bridges technical fiduciary structuring with a consultative, solution-oriented sales approach to convert complex prospects into long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Origination & Sales Strategy: Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to achieve revenue targets across core client segments (HNWIs/UHNWIs, family offices, private banks, top-tier law and tax firms).
- Intermediary Network Development: Build and nurture strong referral relationships with private bankers, External Asset Managers (EAMs), tax advisors, lawyers, and corporate service providers.
- Consultative Client Engagement: Identify core client objectives—including succession planning, asset protection, wealth transfer, and philanthropy—and map tailored trust and fiduciary solutions to their needs.
- End-to-End Deal Execution: Lead prospects through the full sales cycle, overseeing proposals, fee negotiations, KYC/AML compliance checks, and seamless handovers to internal Trust Administration teams.
- Account Expansion & Cross-Selling: Collaborate with internal Relationship Managers to identify up-sell opportunities across multi-jurisdictional structures, corporate services, and family office solutions.
- Market Insights & Governance: Monitor industry trends and regulatory developments across key global hubs to inform product strategy, maintaining strict adherence to internal compliance and regional AML/CFT standards.
Candidate Profile
- Experience: 5 to 8+ years of proven business development or client-facing experience within trust & fiduciary services, private banking, or wealth planning.
- Domain Expertise: Solid understanding of trust law, fiduciary responsibilities, wealth planning structures, and regulatory frameworks across key Asian and offshore jurisdictions (e.g., Singapore, Cayman, BVI).
- Network & Track Record: Established network of professional intermediaries across the region with a demonstrated history of originating and closing multi-stakeholder deals with HNW/UHNW clients.
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field. Professional designations (STEP, CFA, CA, or CFP) are strongly preferred.
Key Competencies
- Exceptional consultative sales ability, with a skill for converting complex fiduciary concepts into clear client value propositions.
- Strong commercial acumen paired with disciplined pipeline management and forecasting.
- High discretion, integrity, and cultural adaptability when engaging with family principals and executive-level intermediaries.
- Multilingual capability and cross-border Asia-Pacific experience are advantageous.
