Role Summary

We are looking for a resilient, empathic Business Development Manager to contribute to the growth of our company. BDM is responsible for relationship management and for ensuring that projects deliver against the goals and targets laid out in the results management framework. Also responsible for generating new business, customer leads and acting as a focal point for business development initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying opportunities in target markets for our organization's products and services.
  • Generating leads through cold calling prospective clients.
  • Keeping up with the latest industry developments, including market positioning of corporate competitors.
  • Assessing client needs and the company's ability to meet those needs.
  • Following up with new leads and referrals generated from the sales team.
  • Setting goals and developing plans for business and revenue growth.
  • Researching, planning, and implementing new target market initiatives.
  • Setting goals for the business development team and developing strategies to meet those goals.
  • Training the team members.
  • Contacting potential clients to arrange appointments and meetings.
  • Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.
  • Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities.
  • Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones.
  • Finding and developing new markets and improving sales.
  • Developing goals for the team and business growth and ensuring they are met.

Qualification

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or similar field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, business development or similar role.
  • Strong Organizational and time management skills, with an ability to effectively prioritize and meet critical deadlines
  • Sufficient knowledge of the market/trends, competitive environment and regulatory environment
  • Demonstrated record of success providing professional, solutions-based sales over the phone
  • Desire to work in a competitive sales and team environment
