Job Summary
We are a growing Kalamkari textile manufacturer and supplier looking for an experienced Business Development Manager who already has strong industry connections and can bring qualified buyer leads through their existing network.
This role is relationship-driven, not cold calling.
Key Responsibilities:
Generate qualified leads from existing contacts such as:
- Boutiques
- Fashion designers
- Export houses
- Wholesalers & buying agents
- Home furnishing brands
Build and manage long-term relationships with buyers in Kalamkari & handloom textiles
Introduce our Kalamkari fabrics, designs, MOQ, pricing, and customization options
Coordinate with internal team for sampling, pricing, and order execution
Negotiate commercial terms and close orders
Represent the brand in textile exhibitions, trade fairs, and buyer meetings
Maintain a pipeline of leads and follow up regularly
RequiredExperience&Skills:
Proven experience in textile business development or sales
Existing buyer network in Kalamkari, handloom, ethnic or sustainable textiles (mandatory)
Strong understanding of:
Fabric types, GSM, dyeing & printing processes
Buyer expectations and market pricing
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to work independently and deliver results
PreferredBackground:
Experience working with Kalamkari, block print, handloom, or handcrafted textiles
Exposure to domestic and/or export markets
Prior work with textile manufacturers, exporters, or buying houses
