Role Overview
Business Development Manager
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities for the agency.
This is a pure business development role focused on acquiring new clients and building long-term business relationships.
The ideal candidate should have prior experience working in a digital marketing, advertising, branding, PR, or creative agency and possess a strong understanding of agency services and client acquisition processes.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development
- Generate new business opportunities through outbound and inbound channels.
- Identify and connect with key decision-makers including:
- Founders
- Marketing Heads
- Brand Managers
- CMOs
- Business Owners
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients.
Lead Generation & Prospecting
- Leverage LinkedIn, networking events, referrals, cold outreach, and industry connections.
- Research potential clients and identify opportunities across industries.
- Schedule meetings, presentations, and discovery calls.
Sales & Client Acquisition
- Own the complete sales cycle from lead generation to closure.
- Understand client requirements and recommend suitable marketing solutions.
- Present agency capabilities and service offerings effectively.
- Negotiate commercials and close deals.
Proposal & Pitch Management
- Coordinate with internal teams to prepare proposals, presentations, and pitches.
- Ensure proposals align with client objectives and agency capabilities.
- Participate in pitch meetings and client discussions.
Market Intelligence
- Track industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging business opportunities.
- Provide feedback to leadership on market demands and client expectations.
CRM & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and client interactions.
- Update CRM systems regularly.
- Submit weekly and monthly business development reports.
Mandatory Requirements
- 3–5 years of business development experience in a Digital Marketing, Advertising, Branding, PR, or Creative Agency.
- Proven experience in acquiring new clients and achieving revenue targets.

- Ability to independently manage the sales funnel and drive closures.
- Experience handling marketing retainers and campaign-based projects.

What This Role Does NOT Include
To ensure complete clarity, this position is focused exclusively on new business acquisition and revenue generation.
The Role Does Not Include
❌ Client servicing or day-to-day account management of existing clients
❌ Upselling or cross-selling services to current clients
❌ Campaign execution, project management, or operational delivery responsibilities
❌ Social media management, performance marketing execution, creative coordination, or production oversight
❌ Ongoing client relationship management post-deal closure
Once a client is successfully onboarded, the account will be transitioned to the respective Client Servicing and Operations teams for execution and management.
