Job Description

Position Overview We are seeking a driven, articulate Business Development Manager to build and expand our clinical studies portfolio across pharma, biotech, nutraceutical, cosmetics, CPG, and emerging startups. In this remote/field role, you will be the primary client-facing representative for our clinical research and scientific services, responsible for establishing initial relationships, understanding client needs, and developing a robust pipeline across West and South India.

Key Responsibilities Client Prospecting & Engagement: Identify and reach out to decision-makers in R&D, Medical Affairs, Clinical, Quality, NPD, and Regulatory functions across target industries Pipeline Development: Build and maintain a strong, healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities across West and South India Capability Presentations: Deliver compelling presentations of our clinical studies offerings to senior stakeholders Requirements Discovery: Conduct initial scoping calls to understand client needs and assess fit before handover to technical teams Sales Cycle Management: Navigate both short sales cycles (cosmetics, nutraceuticals) and long, complex sales cycles (pharmaceuticals, 612 months) Lead Handover: Qualify and transfer leads to internal technical teams with clear documentation of client requirements and discussion points CRM & Reporting: Maintain disciplined CRM hygiene, execute weekly planning cycles, and provide regular pipeline and activity reporting Market Intelligence: Track industry trends, monitor competitor activity, and identify new business opportunities and emerging segments Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams to ensure seamless lead management and execution

Ideal Candidate Profile 38 years in B2B Business Development within CROs, pharma/nutraceutical/cosmetics services, R&D providers, or scientific/technical sales with proven pipeline-building expertise in regulated industries Executive presence and excellent communication skills; confident engaging with C-suite and VP-level stakeholders Strong relationship builder with disciplined pipeline management, follow-through, and ability to navigate both short and long sales cycles Self-motivated, hungry for results, and capable of working autonomously and effectively in a remote, f ield-based setting Mature, articulate professional with keen understanding of pharma, biotech, and scientific services landscapes Bachelor's degree in pharma, biotech, clinical research, or life sciences (MBA preferred)
