About the RoleWe are looking for a highly driven and result-oriented Business Development Manager to lead growth for our automation solutions in various industries. This role is critical to scaling our business by identifying opportunities, building strong industry relationships, and converting leads into high-value projects.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of B2B industrial sales, strong connections within manufacturing sectors, and the ability to translate customer requirements into compelling automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Business Growth & Sales
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in packaging, coating, and industrial automation sectors
- Drive end-to-end sales cycles from lead generation to deal closure
- Build a strong pipeline of automation projects across industries
- Client Engagement & Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers (plant heads, CXOs, procurement teams)
- Leverage existing industry connections to unlock new opportunities
- Conduct client meetings, site visits, and technical discussions
- Solution Selling & Proposal Development
- Understand customer requirements and translate them into automation solutions
- Work closely with engineering and technical teams to develop customized proposals
- Create value-based pricing strategies aligned with customer ROI
- Deal Closure & Negotiation
- Lead commercial discussions and negotiations
- Structure deals to maximize value for both client and company
- Ensure timely closure of high-value projects
- Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Track industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs
- Provide insights to refine product offerings and go-to-market strategy
- Support branding, exhibitions, and outreach initiatives
Key Requirements- 38+ years of experience in B2B industrial sales / automation / capital equipment
- Strong understanding of packaging, coating, or manufacturing industries
- Proven track record of closing high-value deals
- Existing network with industrial clients is highly preferred
- Ability to understand technical solutions and communicate value propositions effectively
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events
Preferred Profile- Experience in automation solutions, robotics, or industrial engineering companies
- Exposure to solution-based selling (not just product sales)
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong ownership attitude
- Ability to work closely with founders and drive growth strategy
