Role Overview

This role focuses on strengthening Metalegal's business footprint in Bengaluru by building relationships, managing referrals, engaging with prospective clients, and representing the firm in external interactions. The position requires high interpersonal maturity, strong communication skills, and a structured approach to business development within a professional services environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with referrals and leads received through the firm's extended network; ensure timely follow-ups and structured conversion.
  • Build new relationships using the existing network base and expand outreach across the Bengaluru ecosystem.
  • Conduct in-person meetings, presentations, and capability showcases with prospective clients and partners.
  • Maintain accurate tracking of leads, outreach activity, and conversion pipelines through internal CRM/BD tools.
  • Represent the firm at client meetings, networking events, and industry forums in Bengaluru.
  • Identify partnership opportunities, local market trends, and potential growth avenues for the Bengaluru office.
  • Facilitate communication between prospective clients and the legal teams, ensuring smooth onboarding and engagement.

Requirements

  • Graduate degree in any discipline; an MBA or equivalent qualification will be preferred.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple interactions simultaneously with a high level of responsiveness.
  • Self-driven mindset with the ability to work independently from the Bengaluru office.
  • Professional presence and confidence in client-facing meetings.

Preferred Attributes

  • Strong local network in Bengaluru or the ability to build one quickly.
  • Prior experience handling referrals, outreach funnels, or client conversions.
  • Comfort with structured documentation, tracking sheets, and BD reporting.
  • 2-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or client relationship roles, ideally in professional services (legal, consulting, finance).
