Role Overview
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for driving business growth for leasing products including operating leases, asset leasing, project, PLS, trade financing and corporate car leasing across the assigned region. The role involves building strong corporate relationships, building and leading channel partners, and achieving revenue targets while ensuring portfolio quality.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Revenue Growth
- Drive leasing business (cars, equipment, machinery, and structured leasing solutions)
- Identify and acquire new corporate clients, MSMEs, SMEs, and HNIs
- Develop region-specific go-to-market strategies
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual disbursement targets
2. Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with credit and risk, operations, finance team, and CXO's
- Manage key accounts and ensure repeat business
- Coordinate with OEMs, dealers, and vendors for asset sourcing
3. Credit & Structuring Coordination
- Work closely with credit and risk teams for deal structuring
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with internal policies
- Structure innovative leasing solutions (e.g., sale & leaseback, tax-efficient structures)
4. Market Intelligence
- Track competitor offerings and pricing strategies
- Identify new opportunities in leasing (EV leasing, equipment leasing, etc.)
- Provide market feedback to management for product innovation
6. Portfolio Quality & Collections
- Ensure quality sourcing with minimal delinquencies
- Support collections team in resolving stressed accounts
- Maintain healthy portfolio performance
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Disbursement volumes (monthly/quarterly)
- Revenue & IRR targets
- New client acquisition
- Portfolio quality (NPAs / overdue %)
- Team productivity metrics
Qualifications & Experience
- MBA / PGDM in Finance, Marketing, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in leasing, NBFC, banking, or asset finance
- Proven track record in B2B sales and team management
- Strong network with corporates and channel partners

Preferred Experience
- Experience in car leasing / equipment leasing / structured finance
- Exposure to Islamic / participatory finance structures (if relevant to your model)
- Existing corporate client relationships in the region
