Business Development Lead
What this job involves:
This position drives the complete business development lifecycle from lead generation through deal closure across the real estate sector. You will manage the entire sales process including prospecting, relationship building, proposal development, and contract negotiation to secure new opportunities that align with JLL's growth objectives. This role contributes to JLL's business objectives by expanding market presence through comprehensive lead-to-close management, building strategic partnerships across the real estate industry, and delivering integrated real estate solutions that drive revenue growth and strengthen client relationships in the Chennai and Tamil Nadu markets.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Execute complete business development cycle from initial lead generation through successful deal closure
- Identify and qualify prospects across the real estate sector through targeted market research and networking
- Develop and implement lead generation strategies through networking, market research, and relationship building
- Create compelling business proposals and presentations tailored to specific client needs and opportunity requirements
- Conduct comprehensive market analysis and competitive intelligence to inform proposal development and pricing strategies
- Lead client meetings, negotiations, and contract discussions throughout the entire sales process
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders, developers, investors, and corporate clients
- Collaborate with internal teams to design integrated real estate solutions spanning multiple service lines
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes affecting the real estate sector to identify new business opportunities
- Prepare detailed business cases and financial models to support strategic recommendations and investment decisions
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (Business degree strongly preferred)
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in real estate business development with proven track record of managing complete sales cycles
- Comprehensive knowledge of the real estate industry and market dynamics
- Demonstrated experience in lead generation, qualification, and conversion across the real estate sector
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to evaluate complex market opportunities and develop winning proposals
- Outstanding English communication skills with proven ability to engage senior-level stakeholders throughout sales process
- Deep understanding of Chennai and Tamil Nadu local market dynamics, regulations, and business practices
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills with documented track record of successful deal closure from initial contact
- Experience in relationship management and strategic partnership development
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or advanced degree in Business, Real Estate, or related field
- Experience with sales pipeline management tools
- Background in consulting or advisory services within the real estate sector
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks in Tamil Nadu real estate market
- Established network of relationships within Chennai and Tamil Nadu real estate markets
- Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding annual sales targets
- Experience with financial modelling and investment analysis for real estate projects
