Role Overview
We are looking for a driven and entrepreneurialBusiness Development Managerto lead client acquisition, strategic partnerships, and revenue growth initiatives. You will play a key role in expanding our consulting footprint across India, especially in areas like fundraising, startup advisory, market entry, valuation, and investor services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation & Outreach: Identify and pursue new consulting opportunities with startups, SMEs, and investors. Drive outreach through email campaigns, networking, LinkedIn, and events.
- Client Engagement & Deal Closure: Conduct discovery meetings, understand client needs, and propose relevant service offerings. Lead the end-to-end sales cycle from first call to signed engagement.
- Market Research & Positioning: Continuously analyze market trends, sectors, and client challenges to position Janus offerings effectively. Customize pitches and proposals for high-impact delivery.
- Strategic Partnerships: Build relationships with incubators, VCs, family offices, and business councils to enable referral and co-branding opportunities.
- Revenue Growth & KPI Tracking: Own monthly and quarterly BD targets. Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and CRM updates.
- Thought Leadership Support Collaborate with internal teams to co-develop insights, presentations, and case studies for LinkedIn and investor communities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 48 years of experience inbusiness development, sales, or consulting, ideally in the management consulting, investment, or professional services space.
- Proven ability to engage withCXOs, startup founders, or institutional investors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to build trust and credibility.
- Strong understanding ofbusiness strategy, financial fundamentals, and startup ecosystems.
- Prior experience selling B2B services or consulting projects (deal ticket sizes between 1020 lakhs).
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent (preferred).
