Business Development Manager – India
Role Overview
We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to lead sales growth across a defined region in India. You will work closely with retail partners, architects, and designers to drive performance, expand distribution, and strengthen brand presence across B2C, B2B, and hospitality channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver sales targets across organic and new store channels
- Drive profitability through optimal product mix and in-store execution
- Support partner stores with Business Action Plans to improve traffic, conversion, and revenue
- Build strong relationships with store teams and manage lead pipelines
- Train and develop partner teams; support recruitment and ongoing capability building
- Lead store activations, events, and brand initiatives
- Ensure effective inventory levels and use of CRM/ERP tools (e.g. Salesforce)
- Collaborate with internal teams across India, IMEA, and HQ
Strategic & Brand Leadership
- Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with company goals
- Monitor market trends, competition, and customer insights
- Support marketing with on-the-ground insights
- Ensure full brand compliance and premium customer experience across all stores
- Act as a brand ambassador, promoting Hästens values and standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree (Business, Marketing, Finance, Engineering or related)
- 5–10 years experience in sales; luxury/premium brands preferred
- Proven success in B2C and B2B environments
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and presentation skills
- Experience with CRM/ERP systems (Salesforce preferred)
- High adaptability in fast-paced, growth environments
Additional Information
- Extensive travel required (40–50%) across the region
- Occasional travel to Köping, Sweden
- Fluent in English and local language
