Role Description

The Business Development Manager - East Africa is a full-time, on-site role located in Coimbatore. The incumbent will be responsible for managing and expanding the university's presence in East African markets. Daily tasks include creating and implementing strategic business plans, identifying and engaging with potential partners or affiliates, building relationships with stakeholders, and achieving enrollment and revenue targets. Driving market research, developing marketing strategies, conducting presentations, and ensuring consistent lead generation will also be critical aspects of the role.

       

Key Responsibilities

·     Drive student admissions for medical programs across key East African markets

·     Build and manage strong relationships with local partners, agents, schools, and institutions

·     Conduct on-ground seminars, counselling sessions, and admission drives in East Africa

·     Develop and execute market expansion strategies for student acquisition

·     Guide students and parents through the end-to-end admission process

·     Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, operations, academic partners) to improve conversion rates

Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in Business Development, Sales, and Market Expansion strategies
  • Strong skills in Relationship Management, Client Acquisition, and Stakeholder Engagement
  • Knowledge in Marketing, Campaign Planning, and creating impactful presentations
  • Effective Communication, Negotiation, and Interpersonal skills
  • Experience in market research and ability to analyze regional market trends
  • Flexibility to work on-site in Coimbatore and willingness to travel in East African markets as needed
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and understanding of higher education markets is an advantage
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; a Master's degree or MBA is a plus
