Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Manager role based in Thrissur. The Business Development Manager will identify and qualify new business opportunities, build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline, and drive end-to-end sales cycles across Deutsche's consulting offerings. Responsibilities include researching target markets, initiating outreach, conducting client meetings and presentations, preparing proposals, and negotiating contracts in collaboration with internal teams. The role involves working closely with service-line leaders to align client needs with solutions in Legal Solutions, Financial Compliance, Digital Transformation, and Creative Production. The Business Development Manager will also track performance metrics, prepare regular reports and forecasts, and contribute to go-to-market strategies, campaigns, and client retention initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within consulting, professional services, or related industries.
- Strong skills in prospecting, lead generation, pipeline management, and closing deals, with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships, manage stakeholder expectations, and coordinate with internal delivery teams.
- Comfort with understanding and positioning services related to legal solutions, financial compliance, digital transformation, and creative or marketing services (prior domain exposure is an advantage).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in clear, business-focused language.
- Strong analytical and research abilities to assess market trends, identify opportunities, and generate data-driven insights for growth strategies.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Marketing, Finance, or a related field; an advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and MS Office (or equivalent) for managing pipelines, reporting, and creating proposals and presentations.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and events as required.
