Business Development Manager - Critical Minerals and Clean Coal

We are looking for someone who gets excited talking about technology and wants to help build India's clean energy future.
Novasensa is a deep-tech startup working on two of India's most important industrial challenges. Our NovaGenesis platform recovers critical minerals like lithium, cobalt, and nickel from used batteries and e-waste. Our NovaX platform improves coal quality using a dry, waterless process. Both technologies are validated, government-backed, and ready to scale commercially.
We need a Business Development Manager to help us build the relationships and pipeline that will take us there.
Why This Role
- You will work directly with the founders on real deals and wear many hats
- You will get complete training on both technologies - we will teach you everything you need to know, but you need to learn fast and act faster
- You will represent Novasensa in meetings with industry partners, feedstock suppliers, coal companies, and government offices
- You will see the full commercial cycle - from finding a lead to closing a deal
- High performers become eligible for ESOPs after 18 months - we want you to own what you build

What You Will Do
NovaGenesis - Critical Minerals
- Find and build relationships with suppliers of used battery material and e-waste
- Identify and develop partnerships with buyers for the refined metals we produce
- Engage with government stakeholders at Ministries and related industry bodies
- Host partners at our office, walk them through our technology, and represent our value proposition clearly
NovaX - Dry Coal Beneficiation
- Identify potential customers among power utilities, coal producers, and industrial buyers
- Build and manage a qualified commercial pipeline
- Drive conversations from first meeting through to signed agreement
What We Are Looking For
We are not looking for someone who has done this exact job before. We are looking for someone who is hungry to learn it.
- 2-4 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or client-facing roles
- Comfortable talking about technical products - you do not need to be an engineer but you need to enjoy learning how things work
- Clear and confident communicator - in person, over email, and in presentations
- Comfortable engaging both private sector companies and government offices
- Takes ownership: you follow through, you do not wait to be followed up, and you treat your pipeline like it is your own business
- Passionate about clean energy, recycling, critical minerals, or India's industrial future - this is not optional, it is the foundation of everything we do
- Based in Delhi NCR or willing to relocate as this is a 100% in-person role
