Solarising is a commercial and industrial solar EPC company focused on delivering reliable, well-designed rooftop solar systems with transparent communication and long-term service responsibility.

We work with factories, commercial buildings, warehouses, petrol pumps, and institutions, helping them reduce electricity costs through practical, well-structured solar solutions.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive growth in the Mumbai region for commercial & industrial solar EPC projects.

This is a high-ownership, field-facing role, involving client engagement from first conversation to deal closure.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development and Sales

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across industrial, commercial, and institutional clients
  • Independently generate and qualify leads through:
  • Direct outreach
  • Referrals
  • Industry networks
  • Field visits
  • Engage with business owners, promoters, and senior decision-makers

Client Engagement

  • Understand client electricity usage, constraints, and financial priorities
  • Present solar solutions clearly, addressing:
  • Savings
  • Risk
  • Financing options
  • Build trust through consultative selling, not aggressive pitching

Deal & Pipeline Management

  • Manage the complete sales cycle:
  • Initial meetings
  • Site feasibility coordination
  • Proposal discussions
  • Commercial negotiations
  • Closure
  • Track, update, and maintain leads and the sales pipeline to ensure visibility on deal stage, follow-ups, and conversion timelines
  • Ensure timely follow-ups and accurate documentation at each stage

Relationship Management

  • Maintain long-term relationships with clients and referral partners
  • Ensure smooth handover post-closure and act as a relationship owner

Requirements

Must haves

  • 2-4 years of experience in B2B / industrial sales / business development
  • Comfortable dealing with owners and senior management
  • Proven ability to:

Generate leads independently

Manage long sales cycles

Close high-value deals

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Willingness to travel across Mumbai and nearby industrial areas

Good to have

  • Experience in solar, renewable energy, electrical, or infrastructure sales
  • Existing network in industrial / commercial circles

Compensation

  • Fixed salary: 30-40K/month
  • Uncapped performance-linked incentives (can be easily 30-40K+/month if you're doing well)
