Club Med has more than 20,000 Gentle Organizers (G.Os) and Gentle Employees (G.Es) working in its resorts, regional headquarters in Paris, Singapore, Shanghai, Rio de Janeiro and Miami, as well as commercial sales offices all over the world.

Purpose:

The BDM drives overall Indirect network (FIT & MICE) for North & East India, with a strong focus on building outbound business. She/he is the sales representation for the India office - to manage overall sales and promotion strategy

Responsibilities:

1.Develop Indirect FIT & MICE

  • Work in developing accounts in FIT & MICE and Indirect market beyond local feeder resort
  • Oversee the overall field sales strategy to build relations and close international business
  • Develop and maintain relations with Indirect TA-MICE/PCO/DMC/Event Company to grow outbound business
  • Manage familiarization trips to nurture new business and highlight the unique features of Club Med resorts

2. Drive budgeted offline sales revenue and grow business volume in India

  • Maintain and optimize Indirect sales processes to maximize efficiency as well as between commercial-resort teams
  • Develop and oversee area sales strategy to ensure sales business numbers are achieved
  • Maintain current trade and MICE partners for repeat business
  • Source, identify and develop new account and industries for opportunities
  • Prospect and convert big groups, as well as resort buyouts

3.Business reporting & analysis

  • Work closely with Revenue Management and Pricing and Promotion teams to align business strategy in line with overall objectives
  • Attend internal and external meetings & events when requested
  • Participate at relevant trade shows and networking events when requested

4.Management responsibilities

  • Develop & groom team members when required
  • Identify training opportunities for the team members when required
  • Drive local and regional projects when required

Requirements:

  • Minimum Degree in Sales Management or equivalent
  • At least 5-8 years of relevant working experience in Hospitality/ Tourism
  • Ability to work in a flat hierarchy organization
  • Open minded team player with strong business and client-oriented mindset
  • Organized and creative individual who is both solution and sales driven
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft office
  • Familiarity with Salesforce will be a plus
  • Proficiency in English
