The Role's Mission

As our Business Development Manager, you are the architect of Lyter's market expansion. Your mission is to build and nurture a powerhouse network of Channel Partners (CPs) that translates our innovative products into regional market dominance. You are the face of Lyter for our partnerswinning their trust, establishing seamless sales pipelines, and ensuring every interaction is a delightful experience. You are not just a salesperson; you are a relationship builder who bridges the gap between our manufacturing excellence and the diverse needs of the Indian market.

The Role: Multilingual Growth Leader

We are looking for a high-energy, multilingual professional who can navigate the cultural and linguistic diversity of the Indian subcontinent. You will own the entire partner lifecyclefrom lead generation and sample coordination to order management and complaint resolution. This role requires a go-getter who is comfortable with quarterly travel across India to establish new territories and strengthen existing ones.

Key Outcomes (First 6 Months)

  • Channel Expansion: Identify, vet, and onboard high-potential Channel Partners in key target regions.
  • Process Excellence: Design and implement a standardized CP Onboarding & Support workflow that ensures partners receive samples, pricing, and responses within 24-48 hours.
  • Pipeline Management: Establish a rigorous follow-up routine that tracks lead-to-order conversion rates and ensures 100% resolution of partner complaints.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partnership Development: Proactively identify and create new channel partner relationships to establish sustainable sales pipelines and grow customer accounts.
  • Order & Demand Management: Manage the end-to-back-order flow from the market, ensuring supply aligns with partner demand through timely follow-up routines.
  • Customer Experience Architecture: Create and refine processes for Lyter's sales and channel partners to ensure a Customer Delight experience at every touchpoint.
  • End-to-End Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for all CP-related matters, including account reconciliations, technical complaints, and feedback.
  • Lead Conversion: Conduct deep-dive inquiries into incoming leads, qualify them, and work with the operations team to arrange samples for prospective partners to win the business.
  • Strategy & Analysis: Analyze market trends to develop partnership strategies and sales planning that align with Lyter's growth targets.
  • Market Presence: Undertake quarterly travel to multiple regions across India to meet existing CPs for account growth requirements and scout for new partnership opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Multilingual Fluency:Absolute proficiency in Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, and English is mandatory. (Ability to negotiate and conduct business in all four languages).
  • Education:Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent is a plus.
  • Experience:4-6 years of proven expertise in Business Development, Channel Sales, and Strategic Partnerships.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the Technology or Electrical industry is highly advantageous.
  • Technical Chops: Proficiency in using CRM platforms, Excel, and sales performance tools.
  • Mobility: Willingness and ability to travel quarterly to various states across India for market development.
  • Autonomy: A proven track record of performing job duties with excellence without constant supervision.
