Job Summary
We are seeking an ambitious and results-driven
Business Development Manager to expand our footprint in the higher education and professional upskilling ecosystem. You will be responsible for building strategic partnerships with universities, colleges, training providers, and corporate L&D teams to drive adoption of our digit al learning platforms and programs.
Key Responsibilities
Partnership & Sales:
- Identify and onboard new institutional and enterprise partners for degree programs, micro-credentials, or corporate upskilling
- Pitch EdTech solutions to senior stakeholders including VPs, Academic Deans, Training Heads, and HR/L&D leaders
- Own the entire sales cycle from lead generation and consultative selling to contract negotiation and closure
- Build go-to-market plans for specific verticals like technology, management, healthcare, or finance education
Strategic Account Management
- Maintain and grow key partner accounts through deep relationship-building and regular performance reviews
- Understand academic goals and L&D mandates to co-create solutions aligned with their learner outcomes
- Collaborate with internal teams (presales, product, curriculum, implementation) to deliver successful rollouts
Market Development
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitor offerings, and partnership opportunities
- Represent the company at education conferences, partner events, and webinars
- Explore new geographies or audience segments (e.g., working professionals, continuing education, bootcamps)
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or related field
- 1-2 years in business development, partnerships, or enterprise sales preferably in EdTech, SaaS, or education consulting
- Proven track record of acquiring and growing institutional or enterprise accounts
- Deep understanding of higher education ecosystems, upskilling trends, and workforce readiness needs
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills
Nice To Have
- Experience working with online degree programs, OPMs, or skill certification platforms
- Knowledge of funding models in higher education (e.g., government-funded skilling programs, CSR tie-ups)
- Prior relationships with universities, colleges, and training institutions across India
- Exposure to high-growth SaaS or EdTech environments
