Job Description:
As the Business Development Manager, you will oversee a team of Business Development Representatives dedicated to connecting with hotel decision-makers. Your team will engage directly with hoteliers and, when necessary, work through front desk staff, general managers, or other connections to secure qualified pitches for the Business Development team. Your leadership will be vital in driving team success and ensuring effective collaboration in achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Business Development Representatives to meet and exceed their sales goals.
- Conduct regular training and development sessions to enhance team skills and knowledge.
- Lead Qualification Strategy:
- Develop and implement strategies for your team to connect with hotel decision-makers, whether directly or through intermediaries.
- Guide team members in effectively navigating conversations to secure meetings with qualified leads.
- Performance Monitoring:
- Track individual and team performance metrics, providing actionable feedback to ensure each member's success.
- Set clear sales targets and KPIs tailored to effectively qualify potential clients.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Business Development team to ensure qualified pitches are effectively handed off for follow-up.
- Facilitate communication to align strategies and maximize lead conversion rates.
- Reporting and Insights:
- Prepare reports on sales activities, lead qualification rates, and team performance.
- Share insights from team interactions to continually improve sales strategies and processes.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in sales, with at least 1 year in a team management role.
- Strong understanding of sales processes in a B2B environment, particularly within the hospitality industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to motivate and lead a diverse team.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and sales analytics for performance tracking.
