Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a sales strategy to achieve/new business targets and revenue growth for Systems Plus.
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities through market research, prospecting, lead generation, direct outreach and networking.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of leads and opportunities; manage forecasting, deal progression and reporting.
- Conduct customer meetings, presentations, and demos; articulate Systems Plus value proposition, differentiators and ROI for prospects.
- Prepare proposals, negotiate terms and close deals ensuring profitability and alignment with company goals.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, influencers and stakeholders in target customer organisations.
- Collaborate closely with marketing to align campaigns, lead-gen activities and account-based initiatives.
- Work with business and delivery teams to ensure alignment of solution design, pricing, contract terms, and customer expectations.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity and customer feedback; provide insights to shape product roadmap and sales approach.
- Maintain CRM with accurate, timely data on leads, opportunities, activity and results.
- Drive continuous improvement of sales processes, tools, methodologies and sales enablement best practices.
- Mentor and guide less-experienced sales members and foster a high-performance sales culture.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing or related field. MBA or equivalent is a plus.
- Proven track record (typically 5+ years) in B2B sales or business development, preferably in technology, services, solution-selling contexts.
- Strong performance in meeting/exceeding sales targets and closing complex deals.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills; comfortable engaging C-level executives.
- Strong business acumen, understanding of financial terms, pricing, margins and contract negotiation.
- Ability to work independently, self-motivate, and drive results in a dynamic environment.
- Experience in creating and managing a sales pipeline, forecasting and deal tracking.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tools; disciplined in usage.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, able to interpret market/industry data and act accordingly.
- Ability to manage multiple deals/opportunities simultaneously while maintaining high quality of engagement.
- Team-oriented with good collaboration skills; able to work across functions (marketing, pre-sales, delivery).
- Willingness to travel as required (domestic/international) depending on role.
