Job Summary
The Business Development Manager (Animation Sales) is responsible for driving the growth of the animation services division by identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities. The role involves developing strategic relationships with clients in various industries (e.g., entertainment, advertising, gaming, education), promoting animation services, and collaborating closely with internal teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Prospecting:
Identify potential clients and market opportunities in animation services across sectors such as film, TV, advertising, and gaming.
Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads through networking, industry events, and digital outreach.
Engage with decision-makers to present animation services, including 2D/3D animation, VFX, motion graphics, and other creative solutions.
Sales Strategy & Execution
Formulate and implement a business development strategy to achieve revenue goals.
Conduct presentations, client meetings, and negotiations to secure new business.
Prepare proposals, quotations, and contracts in collaboration with the production and creative teams.
Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and long-term partnerships.
Act as the main point of contact for client queries and deliver excellent customer service throughout the project lifecycle.
Work closely with creative and production teams to ensure alignment with client expectations and timely delivery of animation projects.
Market & Industry Research
Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and competitor activities in the animation sector.
Provide insights into market conditions and identify new business opportunities for animation services in emerging industries.
Collaboration & Coordination
Partner with marketing, creative, and production teams to align sales strategies with service capabilities.
Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and client events to showcase animation services and generate leads.
Reporting & Forecasting
Track sales activities and report regularly on performance metrics, including pipeline status, revenue projections, and sales targets.
Use CRM tools to maintain up-to-date records of all client interactions and business development activities.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Animation, or a related field (MBA preferred).
Experience
3-5 years of business development or sales experience, with a focus on animation, media, or creative services.
Proven success in securing animation projects or creative service contracts.
Skills
Strong understanding of the animation industry, including 2D/3D animation, visual effects (VFX), and production processes.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with creative teams.
Experience with CRM software and managing sales pipelines.
