Description
Business Development Manager, Amazon Pharmacy India
Amazon Pharmacy is looking for a Business Development Manager to drive strategic partnerships and BD initiatives across our Pharmacy, Diagnostics, and Tele-consultation businesses in India. This individual will be a key member of the External Partnerships team within Amazon Pharmacy and will serve as our primary point of contact with the external healthcare ecosystem — conceptualizing, pitching, and onboarding high-value partners while managing ongoing relationships to unlock growth across all healthcare verticals.
This is a high-visibility individual contributor role based in Bangalore, with direct exposure to senior leaders across Amazon Health Services in India.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Strategic Partnership Management
Own and cultivate business relationships with pharmacy chains, diagnostics networks, and tele-consultation providers across India, driving negotiations to onboard key strategic partners
Develop and execute joint business plans with partners, aligning on quarterly and annual goals across Pharmacy, Diagnostics, and Tele-consultation
Build strategic account plans with a focus on creative, growth-generating initiatives across all healthcare touchpoints
- Partner Acquisition & Enablement
Drive Amazon Pharmacy adoption with healthcare providers by engaging decision-makers at leading brands and networks
Help partners understand the value proposition of Amazon Pharmacy to grow their business and improve customer health outcomes
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with internal teams — product, finance, marketing, operations, and compliance — to deliver against business and partner requirements
Manage stakeholder relationships across Amazon Health Services in a highly agile, fast-paced environment
Interface with legal and regulatory teams to ensure all partnership agreements are compliant with applicable healthcare norms
- Business Growth & Metrics
Drive monetization and growth opportunities with pharmacy, diagnostics, and tele-consultation partners
Forecast and track business growth metrics; prepare and present business reviews to senior leadership
Identify and escalate blockers to drive timely resolution and maintain partnership momentum
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience
3+ years of experience developing, negotiating, and executing business agreements
Bachelor's degree
Experience managing a sales/BD pipeline and working with CRM tools
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in management, business administration, economics, engineering, or a related field
Prior experience in healthcare, pharma, diagnostics, or healthtech BD is strongly preferred
Experience influencing internal and external stakeholders in a matrixed organization
Demonstrated ability to work in ambiguous, fast-moving environments with a high degree of ownership
A day in the life
No two days are the same. You could be pitching a diagnostics partnership in the morning and unblocking a pharmacy integration by afternoon. This is a small, fun, Day 1 team with a near-flat structure — you'll build from zero, move fast, and own the outcomes end to end.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience
- 3+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
- Experience in setting up and managing a sales pipeline
