Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Manager role based in Guwahati. The Business Development Manager will identify and qualify new business opportunities, build and manage a robust sales pipeline, and nurture long-term relationships with prospective and existing clients. The role includes conducting market research, mapping key accounts, preparing tailored proposals, and delivering persuasive sales presentations to decision-makers. The person in this position will collaborate closely with marketing and client service teams to align offerings with client needs and ensure a smooth handover from prospecting to execution. Daily responsibilities also include tracking sales metrics, maintaining accurate CRM records, attending client meetings and industry events, and providing regular revenue forecasts and performance updates to leadership.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in marketing, advertising, or related services.
  • Strong skills in lead generation, prospecting, pipeline management, and deal negotiation.
  • Ability to conduct market and competitor research and translate insights into actionable sales strategies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder relationship-building abilities.
  • Comfort with using CRM tools, sales reporting dashboards, and basic productivity software (e.g., spreadsheets, presentations).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, set priorities, and meet revenue and activity targets in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Familiarity with digital and traditional marketing services and a strong interest in brand growth and creative solutions.
  • Willingness to work on-site in Guwahati and travel locally for client visits and events as required.
