Job Description

We are partnering with a global leader in Pharmaceuticals to identify Director/ Senior Director - APAC B2B Lead - Commercial. The position will report to Chief Commercial Officer - Singapore

Job Location: Mumbai/ APAC Countries (worked in these countries)

CTC: 65-75 lpa (Fixed)

The APAC B2B Lead is responsible for overseeing and managing all commercial aspects of the company's operations in the distribution markets. The primary focus is to identify growth opportunities in both tender and private market and drive revenue generation in a profitable manner. The incumbent needs to work with the distributor partners and Portfolio team to validate opportunities for existing and new products and ensure launch readiness and success.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with distributor partners to deliver our in-market growth aspirations and aspire to exceed revenue and profit targets.
  • Orchestrate a joint partner planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, and critical milestones associated with a productive partner relationship. This includes working with distributors to put in place in-market plan and parameters to ensure growth sustainability.
  • Understand the competitor and healthcare environmental landscape to effectively mitigate risks and amplify opportunities
  • Responsible for the long-term planning for the cluster.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders in order to meet performance expectations and speed-to-market.
  • Regularly review the distributor partners fit and if necessary, recruit and train new distributors or consolidate existing network.
  • Work with distributors to provide accurate forecasting.
  • Ensure that Channel Partners attend all trainings and comply with the company's policies and code of conduct.

Skills

  • Strategy Development – Developing and executing the company's commercial strategy which will entail identification of market opportunities and creation plans to maximise profits and market share.
  • Sales and Marketing Management – Overall management of the sales and marketing working alongside the distributor team. This includes developing and monitoring commercial plans and objectives, in-market performance KPIs and updating plans as needed.
  • Customer Relationship Management – Focusing on building and maintaining strong professional relationship with distributors, partners, and network of KOL in critical TAs.
  • Market Intelligence – Monitoring industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics to identify emerging opportunities and potential threats. Gather market intelligence, conduct market research, and use data-driven insights to make informed decisions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Collaborating with various departments including finance, operations, and product development, to align commercial objectives with overall business goals. Foster cross-functional teamwork and communication to drive success.

Minimum Requirements

  • 10 years proven successful experience in distributor management in the Life science industry with some understanding of oncology and tender market
  • Degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biomedical or Biosciences related fields with formal qualifications in management, sales or marketing.
  • Looking for a candidate who has worked on patented or off-patented products. It's a B2B role.
  • Good business acumen supported by strong analytical and decision-making abilities
  • Thrives in navigating through fluid and fast-pace environment as the company undergoes high growth evolution
  • Proven ability to influence for results at all levels
  • Positive and proactive approach in getting the right things done in the best manner
  • Drive and determination to succeed, resilience is key
