Role Summary
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market presence, and building strong customer relationships for the Industrial Products portfolio. The role demands a proven track record in industrial sales, solution selling, and business development across manufacturing, engineering, and industrial automation sectors.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Revenue Growth
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and profit targets.
- Identify new business opportunities in automotive, manufacturing, engineering, process industries, and OEM segments.
- Manage the end-to-end sales cycle: prospecting, presentations, proposals, negotiations, and closures.
2. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, decision-makers, and industry stakeholders.
- Conduct client meetings, product demonstrations, and solution presentations.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and retention.
3. Market Development
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.
- Identify potential partners, distributors, and channel networks.
- Develop market penetration strategies for assigned territories.
4. Product & Technical Collaboration
- Work closely with product, engineering, and application teams to deliver value-driven industrial solutions.
- Provide customer feedback for product enhancement and new product development.
5. Forecasting & Reporting
- Prepare monthly/quarterly forecasts, sales reports, and market insights.
- Track key metrics: pipeline, conversion rates, and account development plans.
Key Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Industrial Engineering preferred.
- MBA in Marketing / Sales is an added advantage.
Experience
- 10+ years in Business Development / Sales in Industrial Products such as:
- Industrial machinery/equipment
- Automation products
- Electrical & electromechanical components
- Industrial consumables
- Engineering solutions
- Strong understanding of B2B industrial sales and solution-based selling.
Skills
- Strong negotiation & communication skills
- Experience in handling large enterprise accounts

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
