Job Description

Thinking Thunderz is a music marketing and artist growth company helping independent artists, music producers, DJs, and labels grow their audience and build sustainable careers.

We work at the intersection of music, marketing, data, and technology to help great music get discovered. Our services include Spotify promotion, digital advertising, influencer marketing, content strategy, artist branding, and audience growth campaigns.

Since our inception, we have worked with 40+ artists and helped generate millions of streams across digital platforms. Our mission is to empower independent artists with the same growth opportunities traditionally available only to major labels.

At Thinking Thunderz, you'll gain first-hand exposure to the business side of the music industry and learn how artists are marketed, scaled, and monetized in today's digital ecosystem.

Role Description

We are looking for a Business Development (Sales) Intern who can actively engage with artists, understand their goals, present our services, and convert interested prospects into clients.

This is not a passive lead generation role. The ideal candidate should be comfortable speaking with artists over calls, handling sales conversations, understanding client requirements, and closing standard service packages independently.

Most leads come through Instagram, WhatsApp, referrals, and inbound inquiries. The intern will be responsible for taking these conversations forward, explaining Thinking Thunderz's offerings, handling objections, and driving conversions.

For larger opportunities, labels, strategic partnerships, enterprise accounts, or clients requiring customized solutions, the intern will qualify the lead and schedule a meeting with the founder.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to inbound inquiries from Instagram, WhatsApp, email, and other channels.
  • Conduct discovery calls with artists and understand their marketing goals.
  • Present Thinking Thunderz's services and package offerings.
  • Explain pricing, deliverables, and expected outcomes.
  • Handle objections and guide prospects through the sales process.
  • Close standard service packages independently.
  • Follow up consistently with interested leads.
  • Maintain CRM records and sales pipelines.
  • Research artists, managers, labels, and potential business opportunities.
  • Escalate high-value opportunities to the founder when required.
  • Track sales performance and contribute ideas to improve conversion rates.

Requirements

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Comfortable speaking on phone calls and video meetings.
  • Confident in sales conversations and relationship building.
  • Strong follow-up and organizational skills.
  • Interest in music, entertainment, creator economy, or digital marketing.
  • Previous experience in sales, business development, or customer success is a plus but not mandatory.

Compensation

  • Monthly Stipend
  • Performance Commission: 10% of profit generated from clients closed by the intern.
  • Opportunity to transition into a full-time Business Development Executive role based on performance.

Work Setup

  • Hybrid Role (Gurugram)
  • People based in Delhi, Gurugram are preferred
  • 2 Days Work From Office
  • Remaining Days Remote
  • Flexible Working Hours
  • Internship Duration: 3–6 Months
  • Immediate Joining Preferred
