Job Description

About the Role:

As a Business Development Executive Intern at HouseMart, you will play a key role in driving sales growth and expanding our customer base. You will work closely with the sales and marketing teams to identify potential customers, generate leads, and support the overall business development process in the furniture and home décor segment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in identifying potential customers and business opportunities through market research and competitor analysis
  • Generate leads through various channels including in-store and on-site interactions, online platforms, social media, and referrals
  • Support in customer acquisition by engaging with walk-in customers and explaining product offerings
  • Maintain and update records of leads, prospects, and customer interactions using Excel or CRM tools
  • Assist in client handling, follow-ups, and coordination with internal teams (sales, logistics, and design)
  • Help in pitching products, offers, and customized solutions to customers
  • Support in preparing proposals, quotations, and presentations for clients
  • Contribute ideas and strategies to increase footfall, improve conversions, and enhance customer experience
  • Track sales activities, customer feedback, and report insights regularly

Requirements:

  • Recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Interest in sales, retail, and home furnishing industry
  • Basic knowledge of MS Excel and digital tools
  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
