Internship Summary
Tecsight is looking for a driven and curious BD Intern to support our business development and sales initiatives across IT Services and Solutions, including Cloud & Infrastructure, Network, Wireless Solutions, and Global Procurement Services. This internship is ideal for someone who wants hands-on exposure to B2B tech saleslearning how to identify prospects, qualify leads, support proposals, and contribute to pipeline growth in a global IT services environment.
You will work closely with senior sales, presales, and delivery teams to support customer outreach, research, lead generation, proposal coordination, and CRM updates.
Key Responsibilities
1) Lead Generation & Prospect Research
- Research and identify potential customers (mid-market and enterprise) across target industries and geographies.
- Build lists of prospects using LinkedIn, directories, websites, databases, and internal references.
- Identify key stakeholders (CIO, IT Manager, Network Admin, Procurement Head) and map account structures.
- Track market trends and competitor offerings related to cloud, infrastructure, networking, and wireless.
2) Outbound Outreach Support
- Support outbound campaigns via email, LinkedIn, and calling (where applicable).
- Draft outreach messages, follow-up sequences, and meeting requests aligned to Tecsight offerings.
- Schedule meetings and assist senior team members with pre-meeting preparation and research.
- Maintain outreach activity logs and response tracking.
3) Lead Qualification & Pipeline Support
- Help qualify leads using basic frameworks (e.g., Need, Budget, Timeline, Decision-maker).
- Gather initial requirements and ensure accurate handover notes for senior sales/presales teams.
- Support pipeline hygieneupdating lead stages, notes, and next steps in the CRM.
4) Solution Support (Exposure Areas)
Under guidance, learn how to position and support discussions around:
- Cloud & Infrastructure Services: migrations, infrastructure modernization, managed operations, hybrid environments
- Network Services: LAN/WAN, switching/routing, SD-WAN basics, network refresh programs
- Wireless Solutions: Wi-Fi upgrades, site surveys (concepts), deployments, optimization
- Global Procurement Services: hardware sourcing, licensing, renewals, vendor consolidation, cost optimization
5) Proposal & Documentation Assistance
- Support preparation of capability decks, one-pagers, and basic proposal documents.
- Assist with collecting inputs for RFIs/RFPs and organizing response content.
- Maintain internal templates, case studies, and service descriptions for reuse.
6) Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare weekly reports: outreach metrics, lead lists, meeting summaries, and pipeline updates.
- Coordinate internally with presales, procurement, and delivery teams for inputs (pricing, capabilities, timelines).
- Participate in sales meetings, learning sessions, and product/solution briefings.

Required Skills & Eligibility
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, IT, Engineering, or related fields
- Strong interest in IT services, technology sales, or consulting
- Good communication skills (verbal + written) and comfort speaking with professionals
- Strong internet research ability and attention to detail
- Basic understanding of IT concepts (cloud/networking fundamentals) is a plus, not mandatory
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office/Google Workspace (Excel/Sheets, PowerPoint/Slides)
