Job Title: Business Development & Growth Associate – Fintech / Supply Chain Finance

The Opportunity

Our client, a trade technology startup backed by a 40-year-old business house with consolidated revenues of over ₹20,000 crore, is looking for a driven and curious Business Development Associate to support revenue growth, enterprise outreach, and partnership development. This is an entry-to-mid-level role that

sits at the intersection of growth, finance, technology, and supply chain

You will work alongside senior BD and leadership teams to execute outreach strategies, qualify prospects, support deal solutioning, and help build the client's presence across target accounts and partner ecosystems.

This is ideal for someone who is curious about trade and structured finance, eager to learn the business end-to-end, and energized by the prospect of building client relationships from the ground up.

What You'll Own

Prospecting & Outreach

  • Research and identify target accounts across sectors such as manufacturing, FMCG, pharma, logistics, and retail
  • Execute multi-channel outreach including cold emails, cold calls, LinkedIn outreach, and structured mailer campaigns
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads and schedule discovery calls for senior BD team members
  • Maintain and update prospect data, outreach logs, and pipeline status in the CRM on an ongoing basis

Sales Support & Deal Assistance

  • Support the full sales cycle from initial outreach through to discovery, solutioning, and follow-up
  • Prepare and assist in meeting briefs, client-facing decks, and solution summaries 
  • Take and circulate accurate meeting minutes and action items post client interactions
  • Assist in preparing proposals, term sheets, and onboarding documents

Partnerships & Ecosystem Development

  • Support outreach and relationship-building with banks, NBFCs, fintech platforms, and logistics providers
  • Assist in tracking partnership conversations, follow-ups, and co-GTM opportunities

Pipeline, CRM & Reporting Discipline

  • Maintain a clean, up-to-date pipeline in CRM tools (Zoho, Salesforce, or equivalent)
  • Ensure consistent hygiene across deal stages, contact records, and communication logs
  • Pull pipeline and outreach reports to support team reviews and forecasting

Market Research & Competitive Intelligence

  • Track developments in trade finance, supply chain credit, and working capital markets
  • Identify and flag relevant triggers such as fundraises, leadership changes, earnings stress, or supply chain disruptions that signal prospect readiness

Thought Leadership & Events Support

  • Assist in representing the client at industry events, webinars, and ecosystem forums
  • Support content and positioning efforts including mailers, LinkedIn posts, and outreach messaging

What You Bring

  • 1–3 years of experience in one or more of the following:
  • B2B sales, enterprise sales, or business development
  • Banking, trade finance, fintech, or supply chain finance
  • Inside sales, sales development, or outbound prospecting
  • Demonstrated ability to drive outreach and open conversations with senior stakeholders
  • Strong interest in finance, working capital, and structured products, prior exposure is a plus, but a genuine desire to learn is equally valued
  • Comfort with high-volume outreach, follow-ups, and working in a fast-paced, target-oriented environment

Tools & Systems

  • Working knowledge of CRM tools such as Zoho, Salesforce, or equivalent is expected
  • Prior hands-on experience with sales intelligence and prospecting tools, Apollo.io, Lusha, RocketReach, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator, is preferred
  • Familiarity with email outreach sequencing tools is a plus
  • Basic proficiency in spreadsheets and presentation tools

Preferred Experience

  • Prior exposure to trade finance, supply chain finance, working capital products, or structured credit, whether in a sales, product, operations, or client servicing capacity
  • Experience or strong familiarity with structured finance products including invoice discounting, channel finance, supply chain credit, or sales bill discounting
  • Background in fintech, NBFCs, B2B SaaS, or financial services
  • Experience working with or prospecting into large corporates, conglomerates, or MNCs
  • MBA or equivalent from a reputed institution (preferred, not required)
