Business Development Executive Role Overview
As a Business Development Executive, you will play a critical role in driving the growth, revenue, and client success across our multiple verticals including Events, PR & Branding, Certification Programs, and Value-Added Services. In this role, you will design and execute scalable business strategies, build and nurture B2B relationships, generate high-quality leads, and close sales with partners across real estate, BFSI, PropTech, and related industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Own Revenue Growth: Lead sales and revenue generation across all PropTech Pulse verticals events, certification programs, services, and strategic partnerships.
- Client Acquisition: Identify prospective B2B clients (corporates, HR/L&D teams, tech vendors, industry stakeholders), reach out, pitch, and onboard them.
- Pitching & Proposal Development: Craft compelling, customized proposals and presentations that address clients needs and align with our offerings.
- Relationship Management: Build and sustain long-term relationships with clients, sponsors, and ecosystem stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction and repeat business.
- Market & Competitor Research: Monitor market trends, procurement cycles, SaaS and B2B event landscapes; use these insights to refine our go-to-market strategy.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, content, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution and delivery of services to clients.
- CRM & Tool Management: Maintain accurate pipelines and client records using CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce); leverage tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, email-automation platforms, and analytics dashboards for outreach and conversion.
Desired Candidate Profile
Must-haves
- 13 years of experience in B2B/B2C business development, sales, or program/account management.
- Solid understanding of end-to-end B2B sales cycles from lead generation and outreach to negotiation and closure.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Self-starter attitude; ability to thrive in ambiguity and create structure.
- Tech-savvy: comfortable using CRM platforms, LinkedIn, email outreach tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Lemlist), and Google Workspace/analytics tools.
Nice-to-have (preferred)
- Prior experience in selling or organizing events, training programs, or certification offerings.
- Background in content creation, advertising, or PR activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or a related field.
