Functional Process & Responsibilities
- Responsible for generating requirements for company product/ technology with MOD under Defence procurement procedure (DPP) including generating RFP, RFIs, etc.
- Handling accounts for programs with the Indian army/Air force/ Indian navy.
- Responsible for coordinating with cross functional team for seamless and successful proposal submissions, estimating RFPs, knowledge of business case product and life cycle costing and profitability, managing approvals, knowledge of military contract terms and financial implications.
- Involve and coordinate with Engineering team for development and adoption of customer requirement
Account Management and Procurement Process
- Responsible for managing select accounts end-to-end for product satisfaction.
- Farming business opportunities to grow account
- Responsible for handling the entire process to submit proposals against RFPs
Dealing with OEMS/ MoD
- Handling financials/business/ contracts for large MOD bids
- Responsible for overlooking any approval or metrics that goes to the board or CEO for approval in terms of financials
Product Knowledge and Market Research
- Have good product understanding & capabilities to support product configuration at the feature level
- Technology upselling & finding right customers for the product
- Good knowledge of competition product profile and core capability. Awareness of emerging trends & global products
- Engage with govt and services in terms of policy making and demand requirement
Additional Support
- Supporting the production facility post the PO creation as well
- Taking regulatory approvals from government whether its EOU approval or specific grade material to import
- Building the team for program execution
- Support board presentations and giving financial updates
