Job Description

Role: Business Development Executive
Location: Mohali

We are looking for a Business Development Executive who is passionate about driving growth in the IT services domain. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in online bidding platforms, strong client engagement skills, and a proven ability to convert leads into long-term business relationships.
The ideal candidate should be proactive, target-driven, and capable of independently managing the end-to-end sales cyclefrom lead generation to deal closurewhile contributing to the company's revenue growth.

Requirements

Key Skills & Competencies
  • Strong understanding of Web, Mobile, and E-commerce development services
  • Proven experience in the IT services industry
  • Hands-on experience with online bidding platforms (Upwork, Fiverr, Freelancer, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong expertise in client handling, negotiation, and deal closure
  • Ability to create compelling proposals aligned with client requirements
  • Experience in managing and maintaining a structured sales pipeline
  • Good understanding of sales funnels and lifecycle stages
  • Working knowledge of cold calling, cold emailing, LinkedIn outreach, and outbound strategies
  • Ability to design and execute email sequences and outreach workflows
  • Strong analytical skills to understand client needs and translate them into business opportunities
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office Suite, and online collaboration tools
  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
  • Self-motivated, target-oriented, and capable of working with minimal supervision

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities through bidding platforms and online channels
  • Generate quality leads via LinkedIn, email campaigns, online portals, and outbound prospecting
  • Manage the complete sales cycle including lead qualification, proposal submission, follow-ups, negotiation, and closure
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships to drive repeat business
  • Prepare customized, high-quality proposals based on project requirements
  • Handle multiple proposals and client interactions simultaneously with efficiency
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, proposals, and deal status in CRM systems
  • Track and analyze sales performance metrics and prepare regular reports
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth project handover and execution
  • Consistently achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets
  • Ensure strong post-sales communication for client retention and upselling opportunities

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree (Business Administration / IT / Computer Science preferred)
  • 1.5 to 3+ years of experience in Business Development (IT services domain)
  • Proven track record in online bidding and client acquisition
  • Prior experience in a service-based IT company is mandatory
