Job Description

Job Title: Business Development Executive – Software Services

Experience: 8–10 Years

Location: Pune / Mumbai (with global client exposure)

Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Business Development Executive to drive growth in our software services business, including staff augmentation, product development, maintenance, and testing services. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of acquiring new clients, especially in US and international markets, and building long-term relationships with mid-to-large enterprises and product companies.

This role is critical to expanding our global footprint and requires a blend of strategic thinking, hands-on sales execution, and strong industry networking.

Key Responsibilities

1. New Business Acquisition

  • Identify, qualify, and acquire new clients for software services
  • Drive end-to-end sales cycle: prospecting → pitching → proposal → negotiation → closure
  • Focus on staff augmentation, managed services, and end-to-end product development deals

2. Market Expansion (US & Global)

  • Build and execute GTM strategy for US and international markets
  • Leverage platforms like LinkedIn, partnerships, and events to generate leads
  • Develop relationships with CXOs, Engineering Heads, and Procurement teams

3. Client Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Build strong, long-term relationships with clients
  • Understand client needs and position tailored solutions
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts

4. Proposal & Deal Management

  • Work closely with the delivery and pre-sales teams to create compelling proposals
  • Participate in pricing strategy, contract negotiations, and deal structuring
  • Ensure alignment between client expectations and delivery capabilities

5. Collaboration & Internal Alignment

  • Coordinate with engineering, HR, and leadership teams for demand fulfillment
  • Provide market feedback to leadership for service and capability enhancement
  • Support branding and positioning initiatives

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Not many job changes. STABLE profile.
  • 8–10 years of experience in IT services sales / business development
  • Proven success in closing deals in software services (staff augmentation / offshore development)
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, technologies, and delivery models
  • Experience selling to US / international clients is highly preferred
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Strong network in the technology and startup ecosystem
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment

Experience working with product engineering services firms
