Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in the rooftop solar sector.
  • Generate leads through field visits, digital channels, local partnerships, and referrals.
  • Engage with residential societies, commercial buildings, SMEs, and industrial clients to promote solar installations.
  • Conduct site visits and coordinate with technical teams for feasibility assessments.
  • Prepare and present customized solar proposals based on client needs and site potential.
  • Educate clients on solar savings, payback period, financing options, and government subsidies.
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales in line with monthly and quarterly targets.
  • Maintain CRM records and prepare sales reports for management.
  • Collaborate with engineering and installation teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Stay updated on solar technologies, market trends, and government regulations/subsidies.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Business, or a related field.
  • 13 years of experience in solar sales, renewable energy, or a related B2B/B2C technical sales role.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical customers.
  • Self-motivated, target-oriented, and comfortable with fieldwork and travel.
  • Familiarity with solar system components, rooftop design, and net metering (preferred).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in handling commercial and industrial rooftop projects.
  • Working knowledge of solar design software like PV*Sol, Helioscope, or similar (optional).
  • Understanding of government incentives, subsidies, and tendering processes.
