Role Overview:
As a Business Development Executive, you will work closely with cross-functional teamsincluding marketing, sales, and techto identify business opportunities, optimize workflows, and support data-driven decision-making. This role is ideal for someone who understands digital marketing ecosystems and wants to contribute strategically to business and product development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to collect, define, and translate business needs into actionable project requirements and documentation.
- Lead Funnel Analysis: Analyze lead generation funnels and user journeys to identify bottlenecks, conversion drop-offs, and optimization opportunities using tools like Google Analytics, Hotjar, and CRM dashboards.
- Lead Generation & Revenue Contribution: Strategically identify and utilize various online portals (Upwork, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and other lead generation platforms) to generate qualified leads, nurture opportunities, and drive revenue growth.
- Client Needs Mapping: Conduct discovery calls and align client objectives with internal capabilities, translating business goals into measurable KPIs and deliverables.
- Market & Competitive Intelligence: Perform competitor benchmarking, trend forecasting, and audience segmentation using research and data visualization tools.
- Proposal & SOW Documentation: Develop business proposals, technical documentation, and scope of work (SOW) documents with a structured, data-backed approach.
- CRM & Data Management: Maintain accurate data within CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Zoho) and generate performance reports and dashboards.
- Process Automation Support: Identify opportunities for workflow automation using tools like Zapier, Make (Integromat), or CRM-native automation features.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Coordinate between business, marketing, and technical teams to ensure successful strategy execution and campaign delivery.
Technical & Core Skills Required:
- Platform Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Upwork, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and other business development platforms.
- Logical Reasoning: Strong analytical and reasoning skills to assess opportunities and make data-driven decisions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Analytical Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.
- CRM Familiarity: Experience with CRM platforms such as Zoho, HubSpot, or GoHighLevel to manage leads and track interactions.
- Digital Marketing Awareness: Understanding of online marketing funnels, paid ads, and email campaigns. Experience with MailerLite, Meta Ads Manager, or Systeme.io is a plus.
- Documentation Skills: Ability to create structured reports, client briefs, and workflow outlines using MS Word, Google Docs, or Notion.
- Problem Solving: Strong ability to identify issues, analyze data, and develop practical business solutions.
- Organizational Tools: Comfortable using project management tools like Trello, ClickUp, or Google Calendar to manage timelines and deliverables.
Qualifications:- Education: Graduation required; B.Tech. and MBA candidates are preferred.
- Experience:12 years of experience in business development, lead generation, or a related role (preferably in a digital marketing or IT services environment).
