Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Business Development Executive located in Guwahati, Assam. The Business Development Executive will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, generating leads, and managing client accounts. Day-to-day tasks include developing and executing strategies for business growth, maintaining communication with potential and existing clients, and ensuring customer satisfaction while meeting sales targets.
Qualifications
- Proven skills in New Business Development and Lead Generation
- Strong understanding of Business principles and strategic thinking
- Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written
- Competency in Account Management to maintain and grow existing client relationships
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal abilities
- Self-motivated and results-driven with the ability to work independently
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other business development tools is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Build strong relationships with architects, interior designers, contractors, and retailers.
- Generate leads and identify new business opportunities within the architecture and interior design community.
- Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions.
- Coordinate with retail/channel teams to close sales after specification.
- Track daily activities and sales performance through CRM/SFA tools and share market insights.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in the building materials industry (laminates preferred).
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Familiarity with CRM/SFA systems and MS Office.
- Self-driven, adaptable, and willing to travel locally.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- Local language proficiency; knowledge of Hindi/English is an advantage.
- Two-wheeler and smartphone preferred.
Reporting to: Branch/Location Sales Manager
Travel: Regular local travel required
