Job Summary
As a Business Development Executive (BDE) at Inspire Design, you will play a critical role in driving growth by identifying high-potential prospects, engaging clinicians and health-tech founders, and building lasting partnerships. You'll actively explore both digital and field-based opportunities, represent us at key meetings and expos, and help shape how India innovates in med-tech.
This is not a desk-only sales job we're looking for a go-getter who's comfortable visiting hospitals, startups, and events, building trust face-to-face, and driving deals through persistent, smart engagement.
Main Responsibilities
Lead Generation and Prospecting
- Identify and build a pipeline of clinicians, incubators, institutions, hospitals, and med-tech founders
- Research untapped niches in the Indian healthcare space
- Conduct field visits to hospitals, co-working labs, expos, and incubator hubs
- Leverage LinkedIn, WhatsApp, and referral networks for outbound prospecting
Client Engagement and Sales
- Understand client ideas and position Inspire's product development expertise as the solution
- Follow a consultative approach to guide inventors from idea to prototype
- Prepare proposals, follow up persistently, and close deals with clarity
- Help clients understand the ROI of working with a unified design-engineering team
Cross Team Collaboration
- Work with the founder, engineering, and marketing teams to tailor client messaging
- Provide feedback from prospects to inform service improvements
- Assist in preparing project briefs, MoUs, and introductory pitch decks
Market Expansion and Representation
- Attend med-tech events, expos, and innovation challenges (domestic travel as needed)
- Explore licensing, startup partnerships, and university collaborations
- Build Inspire Design's brand as a go-to development partner in the healthcare sector
Tracking and Reporting
- Maintain lead status, follow-ups, and conversion data in Excel/CRM
- Report weekly on outreach activities, warm leads, and new opportunities
- Suggest improvements in outreach scripts, LinkedIn messaging, or partnerships
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Number of qualified leads added per month (field + digital)
- Lead-to-deal conversion rate
- Number of hospital/startup visits per month
- Monthly/quarterly revenue from new clients
- Client satisfaction and referral count
Daily Activities
- Scan LinkedIn and networks for new leads
- Send and follow up on outreach messages
- Make calls or schedule in-person visits
- Attend local incubator or hospital events
- Prepare proposals with internal teams
- Update pipeline and follow-up trackers
Requirements
- 02 years of experience in business development, preferably in healthcare or tech
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Self-motivated, curious, and persistent
- Comfortable with field visits, cold outreach, and attending events alone
- Strong organizational and tracking skills (Excel/CRM knowledge is a plus)
Work Environment
- On-site role with regular field visits in Ahmedabad and nearby cities
