Position Overview

The Business Development Executive is responsible for guiding students and parents regarding suitable courses and academic programs offered by the organization. The role includes counselling, sales conversion, follow-ups, and ensuring a smooth enrolment process. This position requires strong communication skills, product knowledge, and a consultative approach to understanding student needs.

Key Responsibilities

Counselling & Sales

  • Counsel students and parents about various courses, career paths, program structures, and admission processes.

  • Understand the academic goals, interests, and challenges of students to recommend the right course.

  • Convert inquiries from multiple channels (calls, walk-ins, website leads, social media, etc.) into admissions.

  • Achieve monthly and quarterly enrolment/sales targets.


Lead Management

  • Handle incoming calls and follow up with prospective leads.

  • Maintain and update lead data in the CRM system.

  • Schedule and conduct counselling sessions (telephonic, online, or face-to-face).


Communication & Relationship Building

  • Provide detailed program information and resolve queries promptly.

  • Maintain strong rapport with students and parents to ensure satisfaction.

  • Coordinate with academic and operations teams for enrolments and onboarding.


Events & Coordination

  • Participate in seminars, webinars, workshops, and admission events.

  • Provide feedback to marketing and product teams based on student interactions.



Requirements

Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline

  • 13 years of experience in academic counselling, student support, or sales (freshers with good communication can also apply).

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to understand student needs and articulate suitable academic solutions.

  • Target-driven, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.

  • Strong presentation, persuasion, and follow-up skills.

  • IT knowledge preferred.

  • Any Certification in IT preferred.
