We are a boutique public relations and public affairs consulting firm, working with leading Indian and international companies and startups across technology, energy, management consulting, financial services, and consumer industries. As a growing firm, we are looking for a dynamic and ambitious Business Development Specialist who can help us identify, connect with, and convert potential clients to accelerate our growth.
This will be a full-time hybrid role for our Gurgaon office and we are looking for people with 1-3 years of experience, preferably in PR, advertising, or business consulting domains.
JOB DESCRIPTION/ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Lead Generation & Prospecting
- Research potential clients, sectors, and decision-makers aligned to our firm's expertise
- Build and maintain a qualified pipeline of leads through outreach, networking, and referrals
- Stay updated on PR, public affairs trends to identify emerging opportunities.
- Provide insights on sector shifts, and clients emerging needs.
2. Outreach & Relationship Building
- Initiate conversations with CXOs, marketing heads, and communications leaders via calls, emails, LinkedIn, and events.
- Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking forums.
3. Pitching & Conversions
- Support the team in preparing tailored presentations, proposals, and capability decks.
- Assist in managing the BD cycle from initial meeting to proposal to closure.
- Track progress and follow up diligently with prospects to move deals forward.
4. Collaboration and Reporting
- Work closely with the leadership to align BD efforts with overall business priorities.
- Maintain CRM, prepare weekly pipeline reports, and recommend next steps.
Key Requirements for this role:
- 1-3 years of experience in business development, preferably in PR, public affairs, advertising, or business consulting services.
- Strong research, networking, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation abilities.
- Self-motivated, persistent, and comfortable with outreach to senior stakeholders.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn outreach, CRM tools, and proposal writing.
