Job Description

The Assistant Manager – Business Development will play a hands-on execution role in Enerparc Power Trading's Leads and commercial operations. The role will act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for sales-related internal coordination along with marketing activities, manage OTC / third-party bilateral power trades, drive generator acquisition, and own I-REC sales targets.

The position will also function as the Regulatory SPOC for tracking and disseminating power market and open access–related updates across Enerparc Power Trading and group companies. This role requires strong coordination skills, regulatory understanding, and accountability for assigned business targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Coordination & SPOC Responsibilities Act as SPOC for all sales-related internal queries, including marketing-generated leads and direct business leads. Act of Leads and Guide them through savings analysis to agreement signing. Coordinate with internal teams (Trading Desk, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Legal) to ensure timely closure of opportunities. Track lead movement from enquiry to deal closure and support pipeline visibility.
  • OTC & Bilateral Trade Execution Handle end-to-end OTC / third-party bilateral power trading activities involving generators and consumers. Support identification, onboarding, and engagement of generators for OTC and exchange-based trades. Coordinate documentation, commercial discussions, and deal execution for bilateral contracts. While supported by marketing and internal teams, ownership of business targets for OTC trades will rest with this role.
  • Generator Acquisition

Support Acquisition And Onboarding Of Generators For

Power Exchange participation

OTC / bilateral trading

Maintain active engagement with generator counterparts to build a sustainable trading pipeline.

  • I-REC Sales & Green Attribute Monetization Own I-REC sales activities, including lead generation, customer engagement, pricing coordination, and closures. Be accountable for I-REC sales targets assigned to the role. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for issuance, transfer, and settlement of I-RECs.
  • Regulatory SPOC Responsibilities

Act As The Central Regulatory SPOC For

Open Access regulations

Exchange-related rules and procedures

Charges, banking, scheduling, deviations, and settlement mechanisms

Track and circulate regulatory updates from CERC, SERCs, SLDCs, RLDCs, and Power Exchanges. Support internal teams and group companies (IPP, EPC, Rooftop, Trading) with regulatory clarifications and impact assessment.

  • MIS, Reporting & Internal Coordination

Prepare And Maintain MIS On

OTC trades

I-REC sales

Generator onboarding

Regulatory updates

Support senior management with data inputs for forecasting, audits, and compliance.

Maintain records related to trades, contracts, and regulatory correspondence.

Requirements

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate / Graduate in Engineering, Energy, Power, or Business Administration
  • 3–4 years of experience in power trading, renewable energy, or related commercial roles
  • Hands-on exposure to OTC / bilateral power trading and generator coordination
  • Good understanding of open access regulations, exchange mechanisms, and RE market frameworks
  • Experience in I-REC / REC markets preferred
  • Strong coordination, follow-up, and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable working as a cross-functional SPOC
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Excel, and reporting dashboards
  • Willingness to travel as required – expect a minimum of 60% travel
