Job Description

Job Overview:

We are looking for a Business Development Executive Defense Sales to drive growth across

defense and government sectors. The role involves extensive travel to engage with defense

establishments, government bodies, and strategic partners, and focuses on converting these

engagements into long-term business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Sales:

Identify and develop new business opportunities within defense forces, PSUs, DRDO, and government agencies

Travel across India to meet defense officials, procurement teams, and key stakeholders

Represent the company at defense exhibitions, trials, demonstrations, and industry forums

Prepare business proposals, presentations, and capability briefs aligned to defense requirements

Tendering & Compliance:

Track and evaluate RFPs, RFIs, EOIs, and tenders on GeM, CPPP, and defense procurement portals

Coordinate with internal teams to prepare technical and commercial bids

Ensure compliance with DAP / DPP and government procurement norms

Market Intelligence & Strategy:

Conduct on-ground market research and gather intelligence on upcoming defense programs

Monitor competitor activities and procurement trends

Support leadership in shaping defense-focused go-to-market strategies

Account Management:

Manage the end-to-end sales cycle from lead generation to closure

Coordinate post-order execution and client follow-ups

Maintain accurate sales pipelines and CRM records

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA preferred)

Proven experience in defense sales, government sales, or B2G business development

Strong understanding of Indian defense procurement processes

Willingness to travel frequently across locations as per business needs

Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Attributes:

Exposure to Defense, Aerospace, UAVs, Electronics, or Strategic Technologies

Existing relationships within Indian Armed Forces, MoD, DRDO, DPSUs, or State Police

Experience working in a startup or high-growth environment
