Role Overview
The Business Development Executive/Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth, lead generation, and client acquisition across multiple verticals:
- E-commerce plant & nursery sales
- Landscaping projects (commercial & residential)
- Corporate & occasion-based plant gifting
- Balcony/terrace landscaping solutions
This is a field-intensive role, requiring both online lead conversion and on-ground client engagement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Sales
- Generate leads through networking, partnerships, field visits, and digital platforms.
- Pitch landscaping solutions to builders, architects, interior designers, corporates, and homeowners.
- Drive corporate & occasion-based plant gifting sales (festivals, events, employee gifting, client gifting, etc.).
- Promote balcony/terrace landscaping packages to residential customers.
- Meet and exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets.
2. Client Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with corporate clients, builders, and individual customers.
- Understand client requirements and propose customized solutions.
- Ensure repeat business through excellent after-sales support.
3. Marketing & Lead Generation
- Identify B2B and B2C opportunities via cold calling, digital campaigns, and partnerships.
- Support the e-commerce platform in improving traffic-to-conversion by promoting offerings.
- Participate in expos, trade fairs, and promotional events for brand visibility.
4. Coordination & Execution
- Work closely with the operations and landscaping teams for smooth project execution.
- Ensure timely delivery of gifting and plant-based orders.
- Provide feedback from customers to the product/marketing team for service improvement.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Proven experience in business development / sales (preferably in landscaping, interiors, horticulture, corporate gifting, or allied industries).
- Strong field sales, lead generation, and networking skills.
- Ability to engage with corporates, architects, builders, and HNIs.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Self-driven with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Passion for sustainability, plants, and green living (added advantage).
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Horticulture, or related fields.
- 26 years of sales/business development experience (field sales exposure preferred).
- Experience in landscaping, corporate gifting, interiors, or e-commerce sales is an added plus.
- Must be Bangalore-based and open to travel within the city.
