Role Overview
The Business Development Executive will support revenue growth by identifying, engaging, and converting prospective clients across ecommerce, D2C, and digital commerce ecosystems. The role requires strong prospecting ability, relationship management, consultative selling skills, and the ability to work closely with internal teams to build and manage a healthy sales pipeline.
The ideal candidate is proactive, target-oriented, and comfortable interacting with decision-makers across brands and businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and generate new business opportunities through outbound outreach, networking, referrals, events, and inbound lead follow-ups.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline across ecommerce, D2C, marketplace, and digital-first brands.
- Conduct discovery calls to understand client business challenges, growth objectives, and service requirements.
- Present Pinnacle's service offerings effectively and articulate value propositions tailored to client needs.
- Support consultative selling efforts by coordinating with internal teams for solutioning, proposals, and presentations.
- Manage the sales process from lead qualification to proposal submission and closure support.
- Maintain regular follow-ups with prospects and nurture relationships to improve conversion rates.
- Coordinate meetings with senior stakeholders and assist in progressing opportunities through the sales funnel.
- Maintain CRM hygiene by updating lead status, next steps, meeting notes, and forecast details.
- Collaborate with marketing teams for campaigns, events, webinars, and lead-generation initiatives.
- Stay updated on ecommerce, marketplace, and digital commerce trends to identify new business opportunities.
- Support account expansion opportunities through cross-sell and upsell discussions with existing clients.

Required Experience and Skills
- 2–3 years of experience in business development, sales, lead generation, or client acquisition.
- Prior experience in ecommerce is preferred.
- Experience in an agency, consulting, digital marketing, or managed services environment will be an added advantage.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage business stakeholders confidently.
- Good understanding of sales processes, pipeline management, and lead nurturing.
- Ability to understand client requirements and recommend suitable business solutions.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Self-driven, result-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and sales reporting.
