This is a field-sales role requiring frequent travel within the city and regular travel to nearby cities and assigned territories.
Job Summary
- We are seeking a dynamic, hardworking, and result-oriented sales professional with a strong field-sales mindset.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing merchant acquisition opportunities from scratch, building a robust sales pipeline, and driving adoption of Airpay's payment solutions.
- This role requires extensive market coverage, relationship management, and a passion for achieving ambitious sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and acquire new merchants for Airpay's payment solutions.
- Generate and build a sales pipeline from scratch through field visits, cold calling, networking, and referrals.
- Conduct merchant meetings, product demonstrations, and solution presentations.
- Drive sales of POS, Payment Gateway, QR, Soundbox, and other fintech products.
- Achieve monthly merchant acquisition and revenue targets.
- Ensure timely completion of merchant onboarding and documentation processes.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and merchant interactions.
- Work closely with internal teams to facilitate smooth merchant onboarding and activation.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong merchant relationships to drive long-term business growth.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Fintech, POS Sales, Payment Gateway Sales, Merchant Acquiring, or Banking Sales.
- Prior field sales experience is mandatory.
Skills And Experience
- Strong prospecting and lead-generation skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven ability to build business opportunities independently and develop a pipeline from the ground up.
- Strong understanding of fintech products, POS solutions, payment gateways, and merchant acquiring.
- Target-driven with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good knowledge of local markets and merchant ecosystems.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools is preferred.
- Willingness to work extensively in the field and travel as required.
Travel Requirement
- Frequent travel within the assigned city is mandatory.
- Candidate must be willing to travel to nearby cities on a regular basis for merchant acquisition, business development, and relationship management activities.
- Extensive field engagement is a key requirement of this role, and the candidate should be comfortable spending the majority of their time meeting prospective and existing merchants.
- Local market coverage and inter-city travel will form an integral part of the role.
